According to The Nation, the Senate observed a minute of silence on Tuesday in honor of late Pastor Temitope Balogun Joshua, the founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN).
Senator Ajayi Boroffice raised a point of order in the Senate, informing his colleagues of the popular man of God's passage.
Boroffice bemoaned Pastor Joshua's death, citing order 43 of the Senate Standing Rules.
He described him as a passionate leader who made significant contributions to the development of Ondo State and Nigeria as a whole.
He urged the Senate to dispatch a delegation to express condolences to the Ondo State Government and the deceased's family for their irreparable loss, as well as for the Federal Government to name a monument to the late Pastor.
“The Reverend T.B. Joshua was an illustrious Ondo State son who contributed his fair share to the state's development.
Boroffice stated, "He contributed to the advancement of sports, education, health, and other social amenities in the state."
