Benue Investment and Property Company Limited, BIPC has noticed with utmost dissatisfaction the rumour making waves on Social Media that the wife of the Benue State Commissioner for Lands, Survey and Solid Minerals, Mrs. Unenge who was kidnapped by unknown gunmen was kept at BIPC Nyiman Estate, Makurdi.
The company wishes to assert that Mrs. Unenge was not kept at any of the housing units within BIPC Estate but a neighboring house as correctly reported by the press.
While we appreciate the swift efforts of the Benue State Police Command in rescuing the wife of the Commissioner unharmed, we enjoin the general public to disregard any form of commentary linking BIPC Estate to the crime as our facilities do not harbor criminals as there are internal security arrangements to check breaches.
We thank Gov. Samuel Ortom’s efforts in securing the states and laud him for deploying tactical team to rescue Mrs. Unenge.
The company wishes to also send their sympathy to the family of Hon. Bernard Unenge and his darling wife and prayed God to console them and urged the general public to be security conscious.
